Algarve Coast Water Distribution and Sanitation

The works comprised 6 different enterprises which included the renewal and construction of interception systems in several Municipalities located in the West Coast of Algarve, o­ne of the most important tourist destinations in Portugal.

• Revamping of the WTP of Fontaínhas at Portimão
• Construction of two Residual Waters Elevating Stations (RWES) at Carvoeiro with 3 groups each of electro pumps(3*50kw and3*17kw)
• Revamping of the Elevating Stations EC2 at Quarteira and EC3 at Vilamoura and construction of the EC4 at Fonte Santa(3*50kw)
• Construction of 4 RWES at Quinta do Lago and Vale do Garrão
• Construction of a RWES at S.B. Alportel(3* 22kw)
• Construction of 8 RWES with different installed capacities
• Construction of circa 100.000 m of gravity emissaries and pressurized piping with diameters ranging from DN200 to DN800.
