Haut Plateaux Railway Line

The works include the construction of the new railway line, over a 185 km stretch on a single track, between Relizane, Tiaret and Tissemsilt. 

The new line is built in the perspective of future developments, with bridges, drainage works and tunnels with a double track profile. 

The future electrification of the railway line is also planned.

The new line is intended for mixed traffic (passengers and goods) and can reach a maximum speed of 160 km/h.

The project includes:

• 78 railway bridges, 45 highway overpasses and 1 pedestrian overpass, with a total length of 11,717 m;
• 5 tunnels, with a total of 3,477 m in length;
• 7 passenger stations, with a total area of 4 610 m²;
• UIC rail 60 kg / m (26 646 t) with ballast (341 333 m³) and bi-block reinforced concrete sleepers (356 140 un);
• 55 Track-side equipment;
• Signalling and telecommunications.
