Banca Furada Dam

Banca Furada dam has irrigation as its main purpose and has the following characteristics:

• Gravity type dam, in stone masonry, with a maximum height of 41.5 m above the foundation and with 160,5 m of total of crest length;
• Uncontrolled spillway on the dam body, designed for a maximum flow of 350,2 m³/s, with a Creager spillway sill and a discharge channel over downstream face, ending at a ski jump;
• Bottom outlet (Ø500 mm) embedded in the dam’s body and designed for a maximum flow of 1,4 m³/s;
• Ø300 mm Water Intake for irrigation located on the dam upstream face.
