Mestre Maco in Oeiras (current AKI)

This is a building which has 4 elevated floors, the first two floors (1 and 2) being designed for parking. In floors 3 and 4 are located, respectively, the store and the offices and services.
In structural terms the building is formed by two units:

• Unit 1, where is located the entrance of the building, characterized by a suspended structure with metal profiles with a span of 4.70 m and 29.0 m of length, supporting, in floor 3, the walk ways and at the level of floor 4, a terrace not accessible; 
• Unit 2, where is locate the loading dock with double internal height.

The structure is formed, in general terms, by fungiform massive slabs with 0.30 mof thickness, the access ramps to parking being formed by beamed slab with 0.25 m of thickness. The covering of the loading dock is in beamed slab with 0.20 m of thickness.
The building’s roof presents two distinct solutions in massive beamed slab with 0.20 m of thickness and metal structure formed by metal rafters of variable section and purlins to support the roof plate of the sandwich type.
The piles are supported in footings, generally isolated, and common in the cases in which was planned the solidarization of the foundations, as in the case of the lifts unit.
The metal passage ways of emergency exit have 2,7 m of width, covering a maximum span of 6.0 m.
