Studies to update the hydraulic model of the Zambezi River, with a basin of 1,390,000 km2, aiming at the definition of a more rigorous hydrological and hydraulic model, which will allow to define with greater precision the extent and impact of floods in high risk areas, functioning as a decision support tool in the definition of protection, prevention and mitigation measures against flood risk.
Our teams are also responsible for training and qualifying the technicians of the National Directorate for Water Resources Management and ARA-Zambeze in the development and application of the models, as well as for the organization of seminars for the dissemination of these models by interested parties.
