Torre do Lóbio Pumping Station, Serpa Water Supply System and the Serpa Norte Reservoir

The construction included the following main works:

• The Torre do Lóbio pumping station, located downstream of the Serpa dam, on the right bank, pumps water to the Serpa Norte Reservoir. It is equipped with four horizontal-shaft electrical pump sets, with a capacity to raise a flow of 1,05 m³/s per set, to a dynamic head of 76,4 mca. The total capacity is 4,2 m³/s;
• The Serpa Norte Reservoir is to regularize, control and ensure the safety of the irrigation main schemes and also to directly supply the secondary scheme of Serpa Norte. The reservoir with one area of 3,7ha has a total capacity of 110 dam³;
• The Main Pipeline is 4,0km long with the Ø1.800 mm and is made of steel.

The construction contract includes all works, namely earthwork, concrete and finish work, installation of piping, electrical and mechanical installations, remote control and management systems, utilities, drainage system, access roads, paving and landscaping
