Expansion of the Bagging Building at the Matola Factory

The project aimed to increase the production and storage capacity of the cement produced at the Matola Factory and included the construction of:

• Bagging building - reinforced concrete, with 5 floors and about 830 m of building area;
• Shipping building - reinforced concrete, with two floors and approximately 675 m of building area;
• Connection Bridge - tubular metallic structure about 20 m long, supported directly on the buildings;
• Bag storage - structure in reinforced concrete gantries, 8 m high and with an area of about 760 m;
• Cement silo with 600 m capacity - cylindrical reinforced concrete cell, 0.35 m thick, 16 m in diameter and 56 m high;
• Pile foundations of 12 m long.
