The studies and projects of the agricultural development of six hydro-agricultural perimeters in Cape Verde, aimed at the conversion of the agricultural activity, from dry to irrigation farming, for a total of 372 hectares.
The Training Program for Technical Staff of the hydro-irrigation perimeters and of the rural communities in the areas of influence of the dams was included under the scope of these studies, distributed by the perimeters of Salineiro, Faveta, Saquinho and Figueira Gorda, in Santiago, and Banca Furada and Canto Cagarra, in São Nicolau and Santo Antão, respectively.
The Training Program took place at Poilão Hydro-agricultural Development Plan, in Santiago and at the Canto Cagarra Hydro-agricultural Development Plan, in Santo Antão.
This Training Action was intended for Higher Technicians of the Ministry of Rural Development, Extension Officers and Farmers.
