Farmers and Management Entity of Gandjelas' Irrigated Perimeter

Gandjelas’ Irrigated Perimeter occupies an area of about 2 000 ha, on the banks of the Tchimpumpunime River, next to the village of Chibia, 45 km from the city of Lubango, capital of the province of Huíla.

The provision of services aimed to train farmers in terms of agricultural production systems and irrigation technologies and to train the staff of the managing entity in the fields of management and exploitation of irrigation systems and the planning of necessary activities for the development of irrigated agriculture.

The work was developed in a consortium by Portuguese and Angolan technical staff specialized in the fields of agricultural hydraulics and production.
