Saquinho Dam

Saquinho Dam is intended for irrigation and has the following characteristics:

• Concrete arch-gravity dam, with a maximum height of 42.5 m above foundation and with 85 m of crest length;
• Flood spillway sized for a maximum flow of 308.6 m³/s, consisting of a free spillway sill (Creager type) and a stepped spillway over the dam's downstream facing, ending in an energy dissipation basin;
• Bottom outlet (Ø800 mm) inserted in the dam body and sized for a maximum flow of 2.0 m³/s;
• Three water intakes for irrigation (Ø 400 mm) located in the upstream face of the dam.
