The Lagoon Águas Mansas comprises a dike, partially embankment, with aperimetral development of 687m and has a storage capacity of 214,850 m3 and a height of water in the NPA of 12.5 m.
The Study of Potential Risks Induced by Lagoon das Águas Mansas included, as a fundamental piece, the study of rupture dikes that constitute the lagoon, which was designed to evaluate the effects of wave propagation resulting from rupture.
The General Standards and Safety Exploration Regulation under the Safety of Dams (RSB - Decree-Law n. 344/2007 of 15 October) were drawn up.
