Intake Tower of Aldeia da Luz

The Intake Tower with 25 m height has an inside diameter with 5,4 m. The access to the tower is made by a bridge with 50 m.

Inside the Intake Tower there are four pumping groups in a total pumping capacity of 125 L/s. Each group is capable to elevate 29 m. The elevation pipeline (DN 600 mm) has 189 m long and one part is made of steel and the other made of ductile iron. The water is elevated to an on ground reservoir which feeds the pumping station that serves the irrigation network, of the irrigation perimeter of Aldeia da Luz.
