The section covered by this contract has a length of 102 km, with a cross-section adopted for the new road of 11.0 m of platform, with 7.0 m of carriageway and 1.0 m of shoulders.
The pavement structure consisted of embankment in granular soils, regularization of the subgrade, with the same material used in the embankments, with an average thickness of 40 cm, sub-base with granular soils, with a thickness of 15 cm, base crushed material with a thickness 15 cm, wearing course in hot asphalt concrete 5 cm thick and 9.00 m wide.
The earthworks were of 163 008 m3 in section and 319 691 m3 in embankment. Transverse drainage, with diameters of 1, 2 and 3 m were built, respectively with extensions of 990 m, 66 m and 75 m.
The works also included:
- Construction of a Bridge over the Massal River, in reinforced concrete, with a single span of 10 m and 11.5 m in width, indirect foundations by piles of 800 mm in diameter;
- Construction of a bridge over the Cuílo river, in a mixed structure, with 86 m in length divided by 3 spans of 24+38+24 m and 11.5 m in width, deck with 4 longitudinal metal beams, indirect foundation by 800 mm piles in diameter;
- Construction of a Bridge over the Tchifua River, in reinforced concrete, with a single span of 20 m and 11.5 m in width, indirect foundation by piles of 800 mm in diameter;
- Construction of a bridge over the Caluango river, in a mixed structure, 65 m long divided by 3 spans 20+25+20 m and 11.5 m wide, deck with 2 longitudinal metal beams and prefabricated slabs, indirect foundation by piles of 800 mm in diameter;
- Construction of a bridge over the Luangue river, in a mixed structure, with 86 m in length divided by 3 spans of 24+38+24 m and 11.5 m in width, deck with 4 longitudinal metal beams, indirect foundation by 800 mm piles in diameter.
