The transmontana highway have a total of 186 km long, with 130 km of new construction and benefit the municipalities of Amarante, Vila Real, Alijó, Sabrosa, Murça, Mirandela, Macedo de Cavaleiros and Bragança.
The work included the study of the layout in the stretch of the A4 / IP4 between Lamasde Orelhão and Macedo de Cavaleiros, over a length of approximately 32.5 km.
