The section “EL Harrach Center - Aéroport International d’Alger” of the Algiers Metro has an approximate length of 10 km.
This section has 9 underground stations (7 excavated in open-cut and 2 mixed, with excavation in open-cut and underground galleries) and 10 ventilation shafts, one of them for the extraction of the tunnelling machine.
The 10 km of track tunnel, with an internal diameter of 9.3 m, are materialized using an EPB type TBM.
