Supervision contract for the Circular Line of Metro do Porto

The supervision contract for the Circular Line of Metro do Porto, linking Praça da Liberdade to Casa da Música, includes the construction of 4 underground stations (Liberdade, Hospital Santo António, Galiza and Boavista/Casa da Música), connected through a tunnel of approximately 3.000 meters, and also the construction of 3 ventilation shafts, 2 branch lines and stream diversion of “Rio da Vila” carried out in mining tunnel (NATM).  

The design is divided into the following main works, which include the following major works:

• TUNNELS: 

Building enclosure’s instrumentation and infrastructures; utility relocations and safeguarding of cultural heritage; strengthening works and protection in buildings and infrastructures; excavation fronts using NATM and temporary coating; final coating.

• VENTILATION SHAFTS

Building enclosure’s instrumentation; utility relocations and safeguarding of cultural heritage; strengthening works and protection in buildings and infrastructures; excavation and retaining walls; structures; water and sewage systems; finishings; electrical installations, equipment and systems; ventilation and smoke extraction.

• STATIONS

Building enclosure’s instrumentation; utility relocations and safeguarding of cultural heritage; strengthening works and protection in buildings and infrastructures; excavation and retaining walls (station’s body and accesses); structures (station’s body and accesses); water and sewage systems; supply; waste water; storm water; Pumping systems; finishings; electrical installations, equipment and systems; ventilation and smoke extraction; HVAC; transportation equipment and systems for goods and people; escalators and lifts.

• ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS, EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS

MV supply and sub-stations; overhead line; Intrusion detection and access control systems; lighting and LV supply; fire-fighting detection and equipment. 

• SIGNALLING AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS
• VENTILATION AND SMOKE EXTRACTION

Ducts, ventilators, acoustic attenuators, electrical installations for supply, command and control. 

• RAILWAY

Concrete roadbed, multiple tubes, track drainage, LVT supports, Vignole rail 60E6.
