The Environmental Profiles of 25 Districts of the Zambezi Valley aim to identify, review and measure the main environmental problems that affect the population, through a broad description of the contexts within which they occur and the cause-effect relationships that unfold around these problems. The environmental profiles also show the role of private and public players in the economic activities taking place in these districts, in the region and in the country.
The development of these Profiles also aims to provide the Districts with a way of adapting the application of the Guidelines of the Special Spatial Planning to the instruments of territorial planning of the Districts (Districts’ Land Use Plans) and a set of environmental assessment indicators, which will allow monitoring the state of the environment.
