Water Distribution and Home Connections at Dar Es Salaam

Expansion project of the water distribution network and its home connections to serve in 2032 a population of 11.3 million, covering the city of Dar Es Salaam and peripheral districts over an area of 310,000 hectares.

This project, with an estimated total investment of about US $ 650 million for the entire 5500 km network, included in the final design: the extension of the distribution network by 2000 km in order to increase the coverage area, the definition of 372,000 home connections and 470 potable water outlets and the establishment of Measurement and Control Zones, being carried out in accordance with World Bank Guidelines, including hydraulic modeling and associated topographic studies.
