Faveta Dam

Faveta dam has irrigation as its main purpose and has the following characteristics:

• Gravity type dam, in stone masonry, with a maximum height of 38.7 m above the foundation and with 100.6 m of total of crest length;
• Uncontrolled spillway on the dam body, designed for a maximum flow of 186,6 m³/s, with a Creager spillway sill and a discharge channel over downstream face, ending at a ski jump;
• Bottom outlet (Ø500 mm) embedded in the dam’s body and designed for a maximum flow of 2,35 m³/s;
• Two Ø400 mm water intakes for irrigation located on the dam upstream face.
