The initial study focused on three wind farms for two alternative solutions, with 18 and 24 wind turbines with a unit power of 1 800 kW or 1 300 kW, respectively.
In the final solution, the Serra da Freita Wind Farm, consists of 16 wind turbines with 2.3 MW of unit power and a total installed power of 36.4 MW, being 8 located at Serra da Freita I Wind Farm and the other 8 at Serra da Freita II Wind Farm.
The connection of the Wind Farm to the power grid is carried out through a 60 kV electric line with a 20 km extension that connects at the Devesa Velha substation.
The environmental studies included:
Environmental Monitoring was carried out during the pre-construction and construction phase and during the initial exploration phase.
