East Mining Line - Annaba / Djebel Onk. Lot 3

The renewal of the railroad for Lot 3 of the Annaba / Djebel Onk Mining Line includes 6 sections, covering a total length of 358.72 km:

• Souk-Ahras /Ghardimaoo (53,5 km);
• Souk-Ahras/Kouif (28,35+72,02 km);
• Tebessa/Djebel Onk (28,35+85 km);
• Annaba / Tunisian border (48,39 km);
• Oued-Keberit / Ouenza (24,59 km);
• Chenia / Boukhadra (18,52 km).

Ore transport trains make up the bulk of the traffic (around 2 000 t / train).

The work consists of replacing the track superstructure (ballast, sleepers, rail and track-side equipment), with the aim of improving circulation conditions and, consequently, increasing the transport of the iron mines in Ouenza and Boukhadra and from the mine of phosphates, in Djebel Onk, to the Port of Annaba.
