The works in the Terminal Sections of Santa Luzia and João Gomes Streams included the construction of:
- Regularization/correction of the final sections of these streams and joint mouth, comprising all the containment and guiding works up to the seafront;
- Execution of the dock for maritime-tourist vessels, protection works inside the dock and the multifunction embankment, the traffic circuits associated with the new cruise pier and the technical service networks for the “aggregates deposits”, future equipment, dock and new wharf;
- Works of maritime protection on the city eastern marginal front, involving an area with an average width of about 100 m and a total length of about 530 m.
- Remodelling of the urban design and landscape architecture of Autonomia Square and surrounding area, of the new square in front of the Regional Assembly, of the city quay, of the new cruises quay and dock, of the multifunctional embankment and requalification of Mar Avenue.
- Execution of the necessary engineering structures to alter the road network;
- Restoration of affected technical networks and urban infrastructure (Electricity and Telecommunications, Water Supply Networks, Rainwater Drainage Networks and Wastewater Drainage Networks).
